People ask me,
Where are you from?

Well, I'm a Califonia girl, raised in Alabama and married to a man from Massachusetts.

We are living happily ever after in Dover, NH

When I was 9 years old, I saw a beautiful, knitted bikini in a magazine. My first thought was “I can do that!” I have been creating the impossible and the improbable ever since. Luckily most of my projects turn out better than that bathing suit! I am currently working on an outdoor pantry featuring a repurposed wooden boat built at Strawberry Banke. My projects tend to ensnare husband, family and unsuspecting friends.

An art quilter from Dover, NH, I have been quilting since 2007 and I made my first art quilt in 2009. I am the co-registrar of the Star Quilters Conference since 2017 and the leader of the Cocheco Art Bee since January, 2011.
I design quilt patterns and home dec projects as well as bags, and craft projects.

In February 2019, my first ever quilt article was published in Quilting Arts Magazine. Recently in June 2020, I had another article in Quilting Arts as well as Art Quilt Magazine in the Spring of 2020.

In July 2019, my article on the quilt conference on Star Island was published in Mingle Magazine.

I have six exceptional grandchildren, three lovely daughters and and a wonderful husband. I have the best neighbors anyone could ask for and awesome quilting friends to sew and collaborate with - truly I am blessed and give thanks to God daily!

This thread painting is a copy of a watercolor painted by my mother, Marsha Michel. The fabric was dyed during a Cocheco Art Bee meeting.
